📖 Thursday, Sept. 29 – Do you want to tell stories to connect with people emotionally? Are you looking to build intimate communities with others? Check out “Dare to Tell!” a storytelling workshop with author Ada Cheng. During this two part workshop learn about the art of storytelling and share your own personal story. This event is hosted by the Chinese American Museum of Chicago (238 W 23rd St.) from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
🎻 Friday, Sept. 30 – Saturday, Oct. 1 The Chicago Cultural Center presents an all-night world music festival: “Ragamala” celebrating Indian classical music. The event is free and open to the public. The celebration begins at 6 p.m. and wraps up at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. The concert will be held at the Chicago Cultural Center located at 78 E. Washington St. in Preston Bradley Hall.
🖼️️ Sunday, Oct. 2 – Art gallery Povos Chicago is featuring Iranian American artist Ashkon Haidari in a solo show called “This is Dedicated to ________”. Sunday’s closing reception will include live jazz by the Alex Santilli trio as well as refreshments. Povos Chicago is located at 2000 N Milwaukee Ave. The gallery is open to the public Thursdays through Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m.
